Studies show that when given a choice regarding their care, senior citizens want to remain in their homes and communities for as long as possible. Moore Options for Seniors, a Moore Center program, offers innovative services that enable seniors to live independently with the supports they need and the care and respect they deserve. Personal Care Services For seniors with long-standing needs or illness, a wide range of non-medical assistance is delivered with professionalism and a personal touch. We can help with occasional tasks or work to develop a care plan that addresses all needs efficiently and effectively, with kindness and respect. These services include assistance with dressing, light housekeeping, meal preparation, toileting, bathing, transferring, walking, transportation for medical appointments, shopping, errands and companionship. Adult Family Care A residential option for those who can no longer live safely and independently in their own home, Adult Family Care provides assistance to seniors who reside with a “provider family” that is recruited, trained and supervised by Moore Options for Seniors. The home is certified by the State of New Hampshire and provides seniors with an alternative to nursing home placement. Residents have their own bedroom within the home and are provided services that include medication monitoring, appointment coordination, transportation and non-medical supports. Residents often become part of the family and the arrangement is mutually enriching. Kinship Care This is another residential option that provides families the opportunity to move their elderly relative into their home and to provide their support and services. Kinship Care is much like Adult Family Care except that the provider family is related to the individual. In order to participate in this program the resident must be qualified for the Choices for Independence program. Payment Options Moore Options for Seniors offers an affordable private pay rate for personal care services or accepts Medicaid reimbursement for individuals who qualify for the Choices for Independence program (formerly HCBC).
