Residential Services provides individualized services to people with developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries in two residential options: Staffed Residences and Shared Home Residences. All homes are licensed by the New Hampshire Bureau of Health and Human Services.

Staffed Homes

Staffed Residences provide the highest level of assistance, support and 24 hr. supervision that can safely and adequately be provided in a community setting. Most homes serve no more than three individuals with one eight bed residence reserved for individuals with medical and/or accessibility needs.

Supports focus on developing/maintaining daily living skills and empowering community inclusion. The majority of individuals in Staffed Residences have diagnoses of severe/profound MR and some have, in addition, mental health disorders. Staffed residences are supported by three shifts of staff trained and monitored by a house manager and program supervisor under the Senior Director of Client Services.

Shared Homes

Shared Home services provide supports to individuals who choose to live with families in private homes. Supports promote the inclusion of individuals into the provider’s family life and community. Individuals in Shared Homes have a range of diagnoses from Mild Mental Retardation to Severe, and a number have Acquired Brain Injuries. Some Shared Homes have been adapted for accessibility needs. Supports are provided by a trained provider and monitored by a house coordinator and department manager under the Senior Director of Client Services.

NOTE: Staffed Homes and Shared Homes are unable to provide intensive medical services like IV feedings, IV injections, breathing tubes, etc. Clients who present a significant threat to themselves and others may not be appropriate for residential services.
