Respite

Family Support Respite

Family Support families are entitled to $100 annual respite. What is respite? Basically, it's an opportunity for parents or guardians to take some time for themselves, while giving their loved one (the client) a change of scenery with a repsite provider.

Moore Center Services utilizes "Family Arranged" Respite, which tasks families to find and screen a suitable repsite provider, someone they would trust (e.g. neighbor, relative, friend, professional) to perform respite in their home, the provider's home, or in the community.

After the scheduled respite has occurred, families submit a voucher, which is reiumbursed through the agency. Again, up to $100 is available per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).

CCW Respite

Some families qualify for CCW respite (Community Care Waiver), which is billable through Medicaid. The same principles apply: familes secure respite, pay the provider, then submit a reimbursable voucher. Families enrolled in the program are granted an annualized budget of respite hours, billed at two different rates respective of the client's needs.

Below are downloadable vouchers in PDF format. Please call 206-2701 with any questions.
