Ways to Give Through Your Estate Plan
Bequests
A bequest is one of the simplest ways to leave a legacy. You may designate a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder of your estate to The Moore Center. Bequests are typically deductible from your taxable estate and may be unrestricted or directed to a specific program or purpose.
Retirement Assets
Naming The Moore Center as a beneficiary of an IRA, 401(k), or other retirement plan is an easy and tax-efficient way to give. For individuals age 70½ or older, Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) may also be used to support our work while satisfying Required Minimum Distributions.
Life Insurance
Life insurance allows you to make a significant future gift through modest payments today. You may name The Moore Center as a beneficiary or transfer ownership of an existing policy, potentially providing tax advantages while creating meaningful impact.
Securities
You may designate The Moore Center as a Transfer on Death (TOD) or Payable on Death (POD) beneficiary for eligible brokerage accounts or securities.
Charitable Trusts
Charitable Remainder Trusts and Charitable Lead Trusts can provide income to you or your beneficiaries while supporting The Moore Center – either now or in the future – often with favorable tax benefits.
Honoring Your Intent
Planned gifts may support our areas of greatest need, specific programs or services, a gift in honor or memory of a loved one, or anonymous giving (if preferred).
Our team will work with you and your advisors to ensure your intentions are clearly understood and honored.
The Moore Center Legacy Society recognizes individuals who have included The Moore Center in their estate plans or named us as a beneficiary of a planned gift. Members are helping ensure opportunity, dignity, and independence for future generations.
