We Need Residential Direct Support Professionals!
No experience necessary! Just bring your great attitude and compassion and we’ll train you.
The Moore Center operates community residences for individuals with intellectual disabilities, such as autism and Down syndrome, and we’re looking for additional staff to help support our effort. Here’s some information about our homes, and a bit of information about what we do. We’d love to have you join us!
It’s a Family Setting!
Our homes operate in a family setting, where people support and encourage each other. As a Direct Support Professional (also called a DSP or Life Skills Coach) you’ll be helping individuals grow by supporting and encouraging them in working towards increased independence, while also providing aid with daily activities such as making meals, personal care, and exercise. You’ll also help them engage in fun activities and community social events.
We always encourage people to bring their talents to our family too, so whether your talent is music, cooking, or crafts, you’re encouraged to bring it into our homes and share it with our residents and staff!
It’s very rewarding to develop personal relationships and see the joy on their faces as you help them overcome their daily challenges – things that many of us take for granted – while leading them to a better life.
Our staff covers three shifts per day, seven days per week, and we’re looking for part-time, full-time and per-diem staff to cover all shifts. Shifts run from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
We’ll work with your schedule! If you’re interested in a flexible, part-time, rewarding opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life, let us know what schedule works for you and we’ll train you to be a Direct Support Professional. You can read more about being a DSP here.
