Starting salary: $20 to $22 per hour

This team of Clinical Crisis Intervention Specialists is an innovative resource focused on providing solutions for our most challenging situations. 

This challenging, yet rewarding, position offers the ability to develop a strong knowledge of New Hampshire’s intellectual disability support system through working with a comprehensive team of service providers, navigating community resources and engaging them to support your clients. 

General Responsibilities

As a Clinical Crisis Intervention Specialist you’ll provide support and crisis prevention for up to 10-12 individuals with intellectual disabilities (and their teams) who are frequently near crisis or at risk of losing their residence or services. 

You’ll work closely with our case management team to identify clients who may be approaching or experiencing a crisis to provide assistance in developing structure within what might be a chaotic situation. You’ll be responsible for evaluating the situation and identifying potential resources and solutions, while also offering relief to mitigate displacement as necessary. 

You’ll provide weekly and monthly contact with the individuals you support, working with their teams and their service providers. You’ll also help with developing training, workshops, worksheets and other tools focused on proactively preventing crisis situations. You may also occasionally help staff other program, as necessary.

Experience as a DSP (Direct Support Professional) or a case manager  is a good foundation for this position. This is an excellent opportunity to learn all aspects of New Hampshire’s intellectual disability support system, offering future growth in a widely developing organization.
