On February 4th Rising Stars met at the “Great Buffet” on South Willow Street. We had a good turnout-I am thinking about 40 people were there. The restaurant gave us our own room so we were able to socialize while we ate. Not that I was counting, but people made up to 5 trips to the buffet-the food was very good. The waitresses brought our drinks, stopped often to snatch any empty plates and were friendly and helpful overall. We had a good time and left with full bellies. On February 11th we had a Valentines party at Eddy Road. The party was divided between 2 rooms with the food being in room 3. Having two rooms was a good idea and kept the food area from becoming over crowded. Rising Star members brought in snacks while Chet ordered pizza. Everything was delicious! One member brought in CDs and played music. There was not enough room for dancing but the music was good – lots of different styles (contemporary, country etc.) Everyone seemed to have a good time and there was lots of talking and laughing going on.
Coming up:
3/4 Charmingfare Farm Sleigh Ride – we will meet at our normal time/place (Eddy Road at 3:00) and will take a bus (right at 3:00 so be on time!) to Charmingfare. The cost is $15.00 for the sleigh ride and then a hot chocolate social. Please contact Chet if you have any questions.
